- 1″ Depth = 220 S.F. coverage
- 2″ Depth = 110 S.F. coverage
- 3″ Depth = 73 S.F. coverage

- 9″ Depth = 24 S.F. coverage
Topsoil/compost coverage per ton of material:
- 1″ Depth = 300 S.F. coverage
- 2″ Depth = 150 S.F. coverage
- 3″ Depth = 100 S.F. coverage
- 4″ Depth = 75 S.F. coverage
Mulch or topdessing coverage per cubic yard of material:
- 1″ Depth = 324 S.F. coverage
- 2″ Depth = 163 S.F. coverage

Wallstone, Boulders and Flagstone:
- Drywall Loose fit Stone: 12 to 15 face feet per ton or (1 ton will build a wall of approximately 1’x1’x15′)
- Boulders for purpose of retaining soil (boulder wall): 5 face feet per ton
- Granite boulders range 150-200 lb’s per cubic foot. (there fore a roundish boulder of 2’x2’x3′ could weigh approximately 1 ton)
- Flagstone 1″ thick = about 13 pounds per square foot (approximately 150 square feet per ton)
- Flagstone 1.5″ thick = about 20 pounds per square foot (approximately 100 square feet per ton)
- Flagstone 2″ thick = about 27 pounds per square foot (approximately 74 square feet per ton)
